Healthy Ageing in Place Scotland – 19th Nov

Join the University of Glasgow and Eat Well Age Well on Tues 19th November at the Smith Museum in Stirling for a FREE one-day conference about ageing in place in Scotland.

This event will provide an exciting opportunity for knowledge exchange and to engage with a diverse range of academics, policy-makers, health and care practitioners, older adults interested in the issue, and representatives from the third sector with a shared interest in ageing, food insecurity and social isolation.

On the day, delegates will take part in interactive workshops, panel discussions, networking and short talks showcasing current research and practice. This will include findings from a recent study conducted with older adults on malnutrition, well-being, and social connectedness by the University of Glasgow in collaboration with The Food Train (Eat Well Age Well project).

During the workshop, discussions will focus on how we can inform ongoing improvements to policy and resources for older adults, to ensure they can age well and participate in their communities and wider society. Policy recommendations generated on the day will be taken forward to a parliamentary event hosted by The University of Glasgow and the Food Train (Eat Well Age Well) in spring 2020.
