NEW – Eat Well Age Well Twitter Chat

We are launching a brand new Twitter Chat on 26th August!

Grab a cuppa and join us for a blether as we discuss matters relating to older people and eating well.

Over 4 consecutive weeks we’ll set a different topic and ask you to share your views and experience through a variety of questions.

The EWAW Twitter Chat will take place on a Wed from 10.30am – 11am, from 26th Aug – 16th Sept. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #EWAWChat and to follow us: @EatWellScot

Week 1, 26th Aug – Why Communities are Vital in Supporting Older People to Eat Well

For the first week of our Twitter chat, we want to hear about your experiences working to support older people in the community. Here’s a preview to the 5 questions we’ll be asking:

Q1.  What role do communities play to support older people to eat well age well and live well?

Q2. What challenges do community organisations face in working with older people and food?

Q3. How has Covid-19 affected your work in supporting older people to eat well age well and live well?

Q4. Going forward, what support do you need to continue supporting older people to eat well age well and live well?

Q5. What changes need to take place at a national/ policy level for you to support older people to eat well age well and live well?

How do I join in a Twitter Chat?

First and foremost we recommend putting a reminder in your diary – our first Twitter Chat will take place at 10.30am on Wed 26th Aug and will continue for 4 weeks until 16th Sept. Make sure you are following us @EatWellScot.

We will tweet a question every 5 minutes. Tweet your replies by starting them with A1., A2., etc. and don’t forget to use the hashtag #EWAWChat otherwise we won’t see your messages. It’s helpful to tag us in your replies too using @EatWellScot

You can tweet several messages to answer each question to don’t worry about fitting everything into one tweet!
