Eating Well and Dementia – Join the chat on 16th Sept #EWAWChat

Join us on Twitter on Wed 16th Sept for our final #EWAWChat in this series as we discuss the issue of eating well when living with Dementia.

We want to hear your views and experiences on supporting older people with Dementia to eat well. Whether you’re a health professional, community worker, a volunteer or have experience with a loved one, we hope you can get involved.

The EWAW Twitter Chat will take place on Wed 16th Sept from 10.30am – 11am. All you need to do to get involved is simply to follow us @EatWellScot and/or the hashtag #EWAWChat. 

We will tweet a question every 5 minutes and you can tweet your replies by starting them with A1., A2., etc. – don’t forget to use the hashtag #EWAWChat otherwise we won’t see your messages.

Here’s a preview to the 5 questions we’ll be asking if you want to prep your answers in advance

Q1: What are the challenges for older people with dementia around eating well?

Q2: What resources and advice is available for older people with dementia around food?

Q3: What role can communities play in supporting older people with dementia to eat well, age well and live well?

Q4: Going forward, what support do you need to continue supporting older people, with dementia, to eat well age well and live well?

Q5: What changes need to take place at a national / policy level for you to support older people, with dementia, to eat well age well and live well?
