About the Small Ideas, Big Impact Fund
The Small Ideas, Big Impact fund has been set up to encourage people across Scotland to help us in our quest to reduce the number of older people who are at risk of becoming malnourished, or already are hungry and malnourished.
Funds between £50 to £5000 were available to test ideas which will help prevent, detect and/or treat malnutrition.
The fund has been specifically designed so that individuals, community groups, social enterprises, charities and public-sector workers can test out their ideas around the theme of older people living well via food.
In 2018 we opened Round 1 where we received 88 applications across Scotland. Applications varied from support to set up lunch clubs, cookery classes for older people and their carers, and intergenerational projects.
In total we funded 23 projects covering 11 Scottish Health Boards: for more information on these projects click here.
Applications for Round 2 of the Small Ideas, Big Impact fund closed on 2nd August and we look forward to bringing you more details about our successful applicants very soon.
